The Seychelles Islands Foundation (SIF) is recruiting two Tourism Officers to coordinate visitor experiences at the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Aldabra.
Key Role:
Chaperone and lead visitor activities (land and marine – diving, snorkelling, lagoon cruises), deliver engaging presentations, ensure safety and biosecurity, manage logistics, submit visit reports, and support SIF’s conservation, outreach, and staff training. Act as a key representative of SIF while maintaining high standards in visitor experiences.
Requirements (Essential):
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in environment, business, management, or tourism with focus on conservation, environmental education, or tourism (applicants with relevant certifications (e.g., tour guiding, conservation/tourism certificates, maritime training) combined with relevant work experience will also be considered).
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in conservation, protected area or tourism management.
- Advanced Diver certification with proven guiding experience – must be a very confident and comfortable diver.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organisational skills.
- Strong swimming/snorkelling ability and good physical fitness.
- Languages: English, French, Creole (other languages an advantage).
- Able to work in remote and challenging conditions, maintaining professionalism and positivity.
