RESPONSIBLE TO: CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

HOURS OF WORK: 40 HRS PER WEEK AND EXPECTED TO WORK OUTSIDE NORMAL WORKING HOURS

JOB PROFILE:

The employee is responsible for all financial operations of the accounts function and ensuring that incomes and expenditures are recorded with accuracy as per laid down procedures; manages and maintains of financial control of the SIF; provide financial reports to management and the SIF Board of Trustees as and when required to assist in decision making. Formulate financial policies and procedures in line with set accounting standards. Oversees and approve disposal and write off of assets. Co-authorizes approved expenses. 

QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE POST

ACCA/CIMA/CA/CPA Professional Level Member/Affiliate or equivalent of a Master’s Degree in Finance

OR F1 to F9 plus Professional Ethics Module and the Oxford Brookes University Research and Analysis or equivalent Degree in Accounting plus five years satisfactory work experience as Senior Accountant or similar position

At least ACCA Level 1 or AAT Final plus seven years satisfactory work experience as a Senior Accountant OR

At least Advanced Diploma in Business Studies or AAT Intermediate or ‘A’ level in accounting with at least eight to ten years working experience
