JOB PROFILE
JOB TITLE: Carpenter
RESPONSIBLE TO: Island Manager
HOURS OF WORK: 40 Hours per week and upon request overtime
Job Profile:
As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for overseeing all the logistics of a project. Duties may include creating work schedules for your team, and allocating responsibilities and overseeing the logistical requirements of a project. In addition, the Carpenter will supervise and lead the construction of any wooden infrastructure inclusive re-building of historical buildings.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERINCES
- Diploma level of education OR successful completion of Post-Secondary Education plus at least three to four years working experience in carpentry or construction field.
SKILLSS AND ATTRIBUTES
- Capable of receiving and following instructions and communicating with co-workers
- Able to read and adhere to safety regulations and guidelines
- Attentive to detail and always alert to ensure safety
- Ability to comprehend schematic diagrams, blueprints, sketches, building plans and other specifications
Remuneration
The salary of the position will be at SG6 (9,097.20 – 13,642.80) with other incentives in accordance with the scheme of service for the position
Language
Fluent in written and spoken English
Other languages will an advantage
