JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

 

As per instruction from the Site Manager, and in accordance with agreed priorities, a Café Supervisor should expect to be involved in/responsible for the following activities:

  1. Oversees the daily operations of the Kokosye Café to the required standard (ensuring a high level of hygiene at all times)
  2. Supervises and assigns duties to staff under his/her responsibility
  3. Assists with trainings and conducts staff performance appraisal
  4. Oversees the daily cash transactions
  5. Ensures all equipment is functioning properly and reports of any breakage
  6. Carries out daily stock take through opening and closing stock/bar sales analysis to ensure sufficient supplies for the running of the café
  7. Organizes regular purchase of supplies for the café balancing cost efficiency and quality products
  8. Undertakes a monthly inventory of café assets and sales performance report and submit report to Site Manager
  9. Ensures prompt reporting of any discrepancies and initiate appropriate actions
  10. Assists with the supervision of the Souvenir Shop staff in the absence of the Shop Supervisor
  11. Assist with any duties as may be assigned by the Site Manager or his replacement

The Café Supervisor will also provide support to other Sections of the Visitor Centre (Monitoring Gate/Ticket Booth) as and when necessary

JOB SPECIFICATION

Education

Minimum qualification

Post-secondary school graduate or Front Office training (STA) including 1 year supervisory skill or on the job training

Working experience in sales and/or marketing or similar position is an advantage

 

Professional Experience:

Minimum 2 years of professional experience in the tourism industry at supervisory level or any relevant field

 

Languages:

Fluency in English, French and Creole, knowledge of additional languages will be an asset.
